11lb Chubby Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae - MADE IN THE USA

Our Chubby Dried US Black Soldier Fly Larvae are raised, grown & dried here in the USA!

Chubby Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae are comparable to dried mealworms but have a much higher nutritional value. Research has shown that natural feed with balanced Ca:P ratios (a perfect treat for hedgehogs) increases animal health and contributes to stronger bones and shiny feathers (in birds).

Calcium is especially important for laying birds such as chickens.
Lack of calcium can result in poor laying, soft shells and can cause behaviour problems such as egg eating.
Feeding  BSF Larvae as a treat is an excellent way to increase these vital nutrients and we can assure you, they will soon become a favourite!

Black Soldier Fly Larvae have many branded names such as:
Calci Worms®, Phoenix Worms®, Soldier Grubs®, Nutriworms®, Tasty Grubs®
But are all are the larvae of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens), we'll just keep things simple and call them what they are :)

My girls love them, and I feel better about the source. Win-win.

Gotta Love Those Worms!

My birds stay healthy because of these larvae. Boy-o-boy do they love them.
I hope folks realize that chickens are omnivores just like us.
I feed whole grains also. Don’t find ground grains in nature.

My chickens love them

Great product to use in making my chicken feed. They love them and they are a product of the USA.

Black Fly Larva

There was a bird riot in the back yard when I put out the black fly larva. Right now the babies are learning to fly but still want moms to feed them. One little blue bird was standing in a pile of larva begging his mom for worms. So cute.

That’s a big bag ‘o worms! The bulk order is a good price compared to typical smaller packaging. Easy ordering and quick delivery. The number and variety of birds these worms attract is a amazing. The birds just can’t get enough of them. (We use them in a feeder where we don’t want plants to sprout below from dropped seeds).
